I must admit the main reason I bought this toaster is because I thought motorised bread carriages would look kind of cool, I’m a sucker for gimmicks what can I say. The toaster costs £34.99 from Amazon which is expensive for a toaster but not that unreasonable. One thing I did find is it is often out of stock which probably isn’t a bad thing as you don’t want to spend £35 for a toaster on a whim.

The TT24 offers the usual toaster features:

• # 4 Slices at once
• # Variable browning control and reheat facility (separate for each pair of slices)
• # Frozen bread setting and mid cycle cancel
• # Removable crumb tray
• # Cord storage

Appearance wise it is brushed stainless steel and a somewhat chunky design measuring 30 x 19 x 28 cm (W x H x D) and lots of lights (always good for a techie look). The turquoise bevel light at the front looks cool but you can’t turn it off, not exactly eco friendly then.

Operating the TT24 is a piece of toast cake, you drop your slices of bread in, select how well done you like your toast and then press the button and watch in awe as your slices of bread are slowly lowered into the machine. You can see the progress of your toast by 5 LEDs at the front which slowly distinguish when all lights go out your toast is done and it emits a loud beep before slowing raising the toast out of the top. In testing I found the toast was cooked pretty evenly and my preferred level was middle of the road 5.

In conclusion the TT24 makes good toast, is over priced, way too large but has cool motorised carriages so if your a geek with a spacious kitchen this could be the toaster for you.
